Review: Maybe Matt’s Miracle

I freaking love these books…. Gosh, they just make you feel so good inside. This one was no different in meeting my feel good quota. That ending! GAH! THAT ENDING!!! I think I may have teared up a little bit. I cannot wait for more of this series. These guys and the ladies in their lives are excellent. I love how strong the women are and that the guys are able to be strong as well without being assholes. Matt has been through so much and I think we all wanted him to finally get his HEA and wanted him to be well and to have someone love him the way that he deserves! I absolutely loved it.

Review: Finally Finding Faith

Finally Finding Faith
Finally Finding Faith by Tammy Falkner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The single most important aspect of getting better…

 photo hope.gif

You will definitely have moments where you will have a tear or twelve in your eyes while reading this book. You will also have that warm feeling that surrounds you like a hug whenever you read a Tammy Falkner book. I’m not sure how she does it, but she can write about some of the most depressing and awful things and yet you have never felt better after reading it.

Daniel is a Veteran and has a traumatic and harrowing back story that has led him to New York City at the end of the year with a bucket list and a plan in hand. Faith is the granddaughter of Henry that owns the clock shop. You’ll remember him as being the older gentleman with the wife whose health is failing from previous Reed Brothers books. Faith has her own bumpy history and story of loss.

The difference between Daniel and Faith are in the level of hope each of them has in their situation and their ability to find happiness in life. As they get to know each other and experience the joy of meeting someone new who is attractive and interesting they each find comfort and healing in one another.

I won’t say anything specific or go on as it is a short one and I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. I really just loved it. Such a heart wrenching and heart warming read!!!

Pete & Reagan

Pete’s story was a satisfyingly made me want to hug myself and hum a Disney tune 4.25 stars for me.

Reagan and Pete were adorbs. Her back story was definitely a sad one but the solace and comfort that she found in Pete was wonderful. I loved how caring and thoughtful and compassionate Pete was to those he was helping. Reagan’s father was awesome-sauce!!! I loved him! I also loved getting to see all the boys back together and messing around with each other along with Emily. This was a really great one and I cannot wait for the rest of the series!!!

“Our first kiss will be the kiss that ends all first kisses for me. I’m sure of it. I just hope she feels the same way.”

“I thanked her for protecting you all these years and told her how much I appreciate it…I got you from here on out. I told her I’d take over where she leaves off.”
